Extensive analysis of
sequence data requires organized screening for sequence contamination,
database development, advanced alignment protocols, and sophisticated
analytical methods. We will take sequence data in a raw format from a
sequencing facility and perform all of these functions in an organized
and progressive manner.
Using a phylogeny package as a “black box” without a full understanding
of the computational theory behind it can easily lead to
over-interpretation of the data or poor data mining. Data are
frequently under-analyzed because researchers lack the “phylodynamic”
knowledgebase to exhaustively extract evolutionary and population
genetic information from their molecular sequences. Not only are we
well versed in sequences analysis protocols, but we work consistently
in developing new methods for analysis, including phylogenetic,
migration, population dynamics, amino acid signature, and other
molecular evolutionary protocols.
Often biology labs do not have access to the computer capabilities
necessary to run calculations within a reasonable time frame. We
will perform these services and provide you with an in-depth
description of the analysis including publication quality figures.
Once analysis has been performed, bioinformatics software pipelines can
be created to automate future analysis of large amounts of sequence
data.
We are experts in the field of viral and other pathogen sequence
analysis. Please review our list of publications to see if we can
assist in your specific research project.
